San Francisco Storm, Erik Otto, and Ramblin Jack Elliott - It's Your Friday Morning Pre-Party!

Posted By on Fri, Jan 4, 2008 at 8:12 AM

We were so busy getting butt-faced over the last two weeks, we totally stopped looking back at the week that was and looking forward to the weekend that will be in our section called, "Your Friday Morning Pre-Party". But we're back like herpes, bitch. It's raining balls, 70,000 people are without power, the freeways are a mess, Tahoe is finally getting powder, and we've cracked one of our leftover bottles of champagne. I'm your host, Web Editor David Downs.

Today's Pre-Party soundtrack comes from the Top 20 Songs to Annoy Your Office-Mates.

Today's Pre-Party Video comes from Radiohead, performing 'In Rainbows' in its entirety from their UK abode. Check it.

Now, what happened this week?

-Obama just won Iowa.

-Rain kicked our ass.

-We found out why God rides BART.

-Kim Kardashian's ass won a Sex Award.

-Rogue Wave's ex-bassist gave up the ghost.

-Oakland band Xiu Xiu sued Camel Cigarettes and Rolling Stone magazine for making them shill smokes.

-We decided the Top National Concerts of 2007.

-And we discovered the Top 10 Most Moronic Moments of Mountain Dew's DEWmocracy Campaign.

Up this week, we'll be at:

-Erik Otto's art show at Gallery Three.

-And, Ramblin Jack Elliott at Noe Valley Ministry.

Other than that, we're boozing and playing Assassin's Creed so long as the power stay's on. See you Monday, for the Hangover.

(Your Friday morning pre-party kicks off every Friday morning around 8 a.m. Send your pics, videos, mp3s, events, and links to if you want to be part of the party. If not, that's your bad.)

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
