San Francisco has infinite Vintage Paper Fairs and Maker Faires and bazaars and SFMADE Holiday Shows, but the Urban Air Market is near and dear to our hearts. It's become wildly successful, exporting itself to the Lower Haight and the East Bay and up and down the West Coast, but the Hayes Valley mothership remains our favorite. This Sunday, Sept. 13, Urban Air Market returns to Patricia's Green, turning a sizable swath of that tony nabe into a crafty aesthete's paradise, with 130 vendors.

Beautiful butterfly wing necklaces from Bug Under Glass, badass waste-free shoes from Indosole, geometric earrings from Sora Design, and stationery from Coffee and Cream Press are but a smattering of the amazing wares for sale.

While this is all happening, you can rock out to the Joy Drops, Sara Judge, Diablo Jazz Company, The View from Bernal Hill, and Amaranth Quartet, along with an "interactive mural project" by Artspan as part of its 40th anniversary. Don't forget to take your pic in the tricked-out Volkwagen Das Bus, to learn about ethical fashion and the perils of the opaque supply chain. Urban Air Market free, but if you RSVP, you might get some cool stuff.

Since it's way, way too early to think about the holidays, you should probably just use these last few weeks before the Xmas onslaught to think only of yourself and buy some cool stuff.

Urban Air Market, Sunday, Sept. 13, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., Octavia and Hayes streets, free.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
