Tinder: It's not just for dating anymore.

For the first time since Tinder introduced the concept of "swiping" into the dating world in 2012, it has collaborated with another company, on its first non-dating related project: a business networking app.

On Aug. 5, Forbes announced the launch of an app exclusively for the 2,000 people whose names have been featured on any of the annual Forbes "30 Under 30" lists since the first list was published in 2011.

"We're at a point in history where for the first time, because of technology, not only is being young not a disadvantage, it's actually an advantage," said Forbes editor Randall Lane at the Forbes Under 30 app launch party in San Francisco. "[Those on the list] are people who have been brought up in the age of the Internet. They're able to create a billion dollar company from just an idea. It's never been like that before."

According to Lane, the Forbes Under 30 app was inspired by a "generic conference app" for the Forbes Under 30 Summit, an annual conference that Lane started in 2014 as a way to connect those featured on all of Forbes' past Under 30 lists.

"People were begging us not to turn off this app [at the end of the conference] because they were connecting and forming partnerships," Lane said, adding that there were still 100 people using the app per day two months after the conference had ended.

Although the app is similar to Tinder in that it lets Under 30 community members "swipe" through each other, there is no dating aspect to the app.

"A lot of the [people on the 30 Under 30 list] know each other, but don't have a way to connect," said Salah Zalatimo, the Head of Mobile Products at Forbes. "The Tinder feature is there to help them forge new connections. When we were talking about what we wanted to do, [using Tinder] seemed like the perfect fit."

The app will officially launch during the second annual Under 30 Summit, which will be held in Philadelphia October 4-7, 2015.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
