San Francisco illustrator Emma Munger has released the second half of a Sailor Jerry-inspired pin-up project inspired by the characters of Twin Peaks, and this time, it’s the men. They’re nearly all there, too: Pete Martell, fishing in short shorts; Leo Johnson, looking all pretty with that axe; Leland Palmer begging for someone to dance with him while his white-haired, possessed alter ego bursts forth; and Sheriff Harry S Truman, twirling his gun and a half-eaten donut.

“I did the guys’ one because the women’s was so popular,” Munger told SF Weekly.

Munger, who works at Comix Experience on Divis by day, has taken a fair amount of criticism for Men of Twin Peaks. Bless her heart for reading Reddit, where people complained that she “drew the ankles wrong,” and didn't include Hank Jennings sucking on a domino. Some thought the pin-up women were sexy, but the male versions were “mockery.”

Twin Peaks is like a religion to some people,” she said. The fan site Welcome to Twin Peaks has given her a major assist in ministering to the faithful.

For her part, Munger’s favorite characters are Major Briggs and Shelly the waitress. She’s watched the series “two-and-a-half times,” but goes back to specific episodes to get a better grasp of a given character’s outfits.

Munger’s next project will center around Friends, although she’s open to drawing Harold Smith (the agoraphobic orchid lover to whom Laura Palmer entrusted her secret diary) and turning the male pin-ups sheet into a calendar. A graphic novel may follow.

ICYMI, David Lynch has emerged from a hairy contract to helm the next season of Twin Peaks after all. He'll be directing 18 episodes, scored by Angelo Badalamenti, and shot on location. It should be coming out in 2016, to match Special Agent Dale Cooper’s advanced age in his original dream of the Black Lodge. Until then, avoid bringing jars of oil to Glastonbury Grove, and enjoy these sexy men of eastern Washington State!

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
