This is as close as you'll get to visiting Santa's workshop, so if you've ever wanted to see how "toys" are made, we suggest you visit Root Division's Misfit Toy Factory IV.

The non-profit arts organization has recently moved to 1059 Market, after they were priced out of their Mission District space, and is holding the fourth annual fundraiser on Saturday, December 13, 6-10:30 p.m. Each "toy" will be created in the "toy factory" during the event by local artists, and you can take the one-of-a-kind treasure home that night for a flat $40. Expect oddities and not-always-child-safe creations that may be better suited for friends that don't try to eat inedible objects.

Misfit Toy Factory IV, Saturday December 13, 6-10:30 p.m., leftover toys will be available all next week and at the Third Thursday Reception on December 18, 5-8 p.m., at 1059 Market (at Sixth Street).

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
