We Googled directions on how to finish a Rubik's Cube after one appeared in our Christmas stocking last year — we got half way done, went to get some egg nog and never came back to it. So you can imagine that we're pretty impressed when we meet someone who has mastered the 40-year-old art of solving the cube. And the Rubik's-Cube work by the CubeCreators is no exception. We stumbled upon a YouTube video from the group out of Clovis, CA of a mosaic-portrait of Robin Williams made from these 1970s-mind benders — and they put our half-finsihed cube to shame.

We're quite shocked that they've only garnered just shy of 200 views since the video was posted in September, we've seen poor-quality cat videos with 10-times the views. So definitely give it a view and then check out their other amazing portraits.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
