Happy Friday! Have a look at what we're reading, viewing, and gawking at on the internet.

Jim Henson would have turned 78 on Wednesday; and here's another fact we discovered this week: Sesame Street is 45! In honor of Henson's birthday, McSweeney's re-tweeted this 2006 gem "by" Cookie Monster: "Cookie Monster Searches Deep Within Himself and Asks: Is Me Really Monster?" (McSweeney's)

If you're flying out of SFO this month, there's a beautiful photography exhibit on display in terminal three, level two: Geir Jordahl: Circle of Life (FlySFO)

There are many boring Instagram accounts full of duck-lip selfies, but then there are other accounts, like Lorraine Loots — who shares images of exquisite teeny-tiny paintings. (Brit + Co)

This site may not be new, but we just discovered it; and now we can't stop comparing the land mass of various countries to one another. (Map Fight)

There are some things that just give you away as San Franciscan: the fact you always wear layers when going outside during the Summer (even when you're visiting friends in L.A.), being excited when a restaurant wait is only 30 minutes, and needing the "relaxing" sounds of traffic to fall asleep. And for those who need to hear the sound of rubber on pavement to drift into dreamland, there's a new YouTube video for you.

The day begins with a dog parade; that's the first thing you need to know. There will be prizes for dogs who most look like their owners and Three Twins ice cream for humans and dogs alike. Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
