HackCancer, a group that organizes fun events to benefit charities such as Make-A-Wish and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, is hosting the "biggest Game of Thrones themed party in San Francisco."
Held at an actual castle (The San Francisco Amory) on the day before the Season 4 premiere of Game of Thones, the event will feature music (both live and DJ-ed), sword fighting, and various performances. The party will also include a dragon (although the website isn't clear about what exactly that actually entails).
This event is on April 5 from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., but get there early because they're offering free beer from Ommegang Brewery from 9 to 10 p.m. Also for your imbibing pleasure, there will be a cash-only bar serving beer, wine, and cocktails all night. And while not giant turkey legs, there will be stuff to nosh from food truck selection including Red Rooster Tacos and Dojo Dogs. Also expect non-medieval themed activities like a photo booth and Tarot card readings.
Costumes strongly encouraged, but normal nightclub wear is cool too.
Click here for tickets; 100 percent of the net proceeds will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
