We came across this classic map on Reddit today, and some of it definitely rings true. Lord of the Rings and New Zealand are pretty much synonymous in our book, and Antarctica's temporary status is all too true.

Do-Good Huggers Hit Downtown S.F. for HugFest 2014

Whether you're a hug enthusiast or the polar opposite, we here at SF Weekly felt it was our public service to inform warn you downtowners that Market Street Plaza is to be overturned by do-good huggers, Thursday, March 20 at 11 a.m.

Action For Happiness, a movement for positive social change, sets sights on spreading joy through free hugs. The group is increasing in numbers, and -- as aforementioned -- they plan to hit Market Street Plaza, during lunch hour, in full force. Action For Happiness created Eventbrite and Facebook pages for their campaign, which they have dubbed "HugFest 2014," where you can sign up to participate, buy swag, or make donations.

San Franciscans to Compete in U.S. Memory Championship

Championships exist all over the world for basically every sport you could imagine. Water polo, horseback riding, rugby, memory training -- yes, we said memory training, and yes, that is a sport.

Every year, mental athletes train for the USA Memory Championship, which is held annually in New York City. Now in its 17th year, this year's USAMC on March 29 features competitors ages 12 to 60 from across the country. And this year, two of those competitors are from San Francisco.

Journalist Nathan Jaye and registered nurse Sue Jin Yang, both from S.F., will be among over 60 other mental athletes from over 10 different states.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
