This year brought us the adventure of Batkid, twerking, BART strikes, and more. But now is the time to kiss 2013 goodbye in style. We've rounded up a few ways to celebrate NYE in S.F. -- instead of watching the ball drop from your apartment (again).

The Spot: Foreign Cinema (2543 Mission)

The Neighborhood: Mission

The Vibe: Sexy Tiki

The Details: In line with the Polynesian theme, Foreign Cinema will screen Blue Hawaii, starring Elvis Presley. Reservations can be made until 11 p.m.

The Damage: $95 per person for a four course dinner

The Spot: Audio (316 11th St.)

The Neighborhood: SOMA

The Vibe: EDM

The Details: Audio's first NYE party will include Bergerac hors d'oeuvres and live house music from FEHRPLAY! Table reservations are available.

The Damage: Tickets are $50 per person and $90 for general admission and open bar.

The Spot: EyeHeartSF, Fort Mason Center Festival Pavilion

The Neighborhood: Marina

The Vibe: Rave/Clubby

The Details: EyeHeartSF's fifth Streets of San Francisco party features popular artist Moby headlining the DJ set. In addition to the music, enjoy fireworks and a midnight champagne toast.

The Damage: Tickets are $125 and up


The Spot: Press Club San Francisco (20 Yerba Buena)

The Neighborhood: Union Square

The Vibe: Classy NYE

The Details: Enjoy a glass of sparkling rosé wine and a selection of bites and drinks as you dance your way to 2014.

The Damage: Tickets purchased in advance are $75 per person and $100 at the door. A portion of proceeds will be donated to Raphael House to benefit the homeless.

The Spot: A Great Gatsby New Year's Eve, Per Diem (43 Sutter)

The Neighborhood: FiDi

The Vibe: Roaring 20s

The Details: Open bar, light bites, party favors, a midnight champagne toast, and an evening of flappers, indulgence, bootlegging and excess.

The Damage: Tickets are $125 and up.

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
