It looks like Los Angeles and New York are no longer the home of the stars.

San Francisco has acquired a new resident who is out of this planet in fame and visibility. He is so famous that he doesn't even have a last name.

Chewbacca has landed in the City by the Bay from a galaxy far, far away and he has an Instagram account to prove it.

According to his profile he works in downtown and he has a thing for Asians right now; his account has 6,551 followers and he follows 614 individuals.

Chewbacca's 104 pictures chronicle his sightseeing of traditional monuments (like the Transamerica Pyramid and Lombard Street), attending San Francisco festivals and events (Hardly Strictly, Outside Lands, etc.), and being a local (attending farmers' markets, hanging out at Molotov's, and getting a pedicure).

He has also had the chance to visit his good old pal Yoda:

The first upload of his arrival dates Feb. 12, 2012, and shows him stranded at a Muni stop waiting for the 71 bus.

While the space hero has been living in San Francisco for over a year, phoning the famed Wookie hasn't proven to be successful for SF Weekly.

He has managed to get into contact with the people at The San Francisco Chronicle, though.

Nonetheless, we welcome you to the city Chewbacca, and don't be a stranger. And as tired as this may be to your fuzzy ears we do wish for the force to be with you.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
