If you're were a Comedy Central Workaholics fan you'll remember Montez, played by the funny and self-proclaimed ethnically ambiguous Erik Griffin. The stand-up comedian is coming to Cobb's Comedy Club later this month with former punk rocker turned comedian Joe Sib.

If anyone is going to do standup about the music scene, Joe Sib is the guy. Covering topics from his kids to Nickelback, the former front man of the punk band WAX and co-founder of Side One Dummy Records is now making people laugh instead of mosh.

To enter the drawing for a pair of tickets for the 8 p.m. show on 10/24 at Cobb's Comedy Club, email with "comedy tickets" in the title. Contest open until October 16.

You have to be 18+ and there is a 2-drink minimum. We won't use your email for anything other than this drawing.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
