We got our weekend off to a great start on Friday, September 9, with the SF Weekly Web Awards party at 111 Minna. Bloggers, app makers, Twitter addicts, and all kinds of people who have "social media" in their job title rubbed shoulders, enjoying some adult beverages, fair trade vodka, Bacon Bacon delicacies, and tasty treats from Heartbakers. Check out our full slideshow of the SF Weekly Web Awards here.

Also, whoever stole Brian Wilson's plaque for Best Media Personality Twitter: nicely done. Also: give it back.

The Reader's Choice Winners, and a full list of winners and nominees after the jump.

Once the party got underway, we announced the winners of our Reader's Choice Awards, which were picked thanks to thousands of votes of SF Weekly readers. They were:

See you all next year!

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
