Dave Chappelle Won't Quit -- He Schedules Two More Shows for Tuesday

Posted on Mon, Apr 18, 2011 at 1:00 PM

Dave Chappelle must like what he's doing, because he shows no sign of stopping. The comedian who made unscheduled appearances last week in San Francisco and Oakland has scheduled two more shows for Tuesday night at Cobb's Comedy Club in San Francisco. In the video clip above, he explains why he'll get high only with white people anymore.

The shows are scheduled for Tuesday at 8 and 10:30 p.m., according to club spokeswoman Alicia Albarran. The $55 tickets will be available via the LiveNation website, Albarran wrote in an e-mail.

Chappelle played an unannounced show Wednesday with Lauryn Hill at The New Parish in Oakland, as covered by Ian S. Port on our sister blog, All Shook Down. On Thursday afternoon Cobb's said Chappelle would play two more shows there that night. He did the same on Friday.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
