I hate sports. I go so far as to think competition itself is bullshit. And fuck combustion engines, on general principle. So I was hardly surprised to hear an old friend say "No matter how hard I try, I can't picture you out at Sears Point." But I had been there, and I had bragged about it, and I can't wait to get back out to the Sonoma County racetrack for a supersporty combustion-engine car endurance competition: It's this weekend, it's like 20 bucks, and I'm totally going.

Several Bay Area artists who deal in erotic and kinky themes plan to hold a fundraiser Sunday called Shibari Relief aimed at helping victims of the recent disaster in Japan, according to Mark I. Chester.

Chester, a self-described gay radical sex photographer, is organizing the benefit with Patti Beadles, who is also a photographer. Recent bike news is all about parks and parking. Srangely, the two seldom overlap.

On parks, the news is very exciting indeed: The Board of Supervisors OK'd in-park bike rentals last Tuesday. Because of this, starting this summer, you'll be able to rent a bike at the Bandshell and Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park, as well as the Marina Green, Justin Herman Plaza, and Union Square.

Let's pretend this, Wirehead, is the play I'm watching. Now let's pretend you're texting in the seat next to me. And now let's pretend I'm trying to kill you with my eyes. Maybe there's a way we can co-exist, but it would have to be very, very new and tightly regulated, to keep me from trying to kill you with my eyes.

What Britney Spears Taught an Entire Gay Generation

Posted By on Fri, Mar 25, 2011 at 7:30 AM

I wasn't always a Britney Spears fan, but then again, I wasn't always openly gay. Despite the fact that she has never marched for us like Gaga, or praised our lifestyle like Madonna, Britney has been an influence to sexually confused young boys all over the world since the turn of the century.

Part of the Britney allure is how she keeps us aroused without ever really making us climax. And oops... with the announcement this week that her performance on Sunday will, indeed, not take place outdoors in the Castro but inside the Bill Graham Auditorium, well... she did it again.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
