It's the final weekend of Sketchfest. We made it, everybody. One more weekend, so clear your calendars and see more shows. Good news/bad news: The good news is that the good people of the festival piled a lot of…

Nato's Comedy Picks: Sketchfest Week 2 Brent Weinbach & Janine Brito

It's hardly week two of Sketchfest, and I'm already exhausted. There's a show for every style and interest during the festival. My personal preference is go see specific comics rather than themed shows, but it's all great and a…

Nato's Comedy Picks, Sketchfest edition: Kevin Camia & Baron Vaughn

Nato's Comedy Picks: Laurie Kilmartin & Greg Proops

When I was in high school and college, Cobb's Comedy Club was in the Cannery. They ran an ad in the Pink Pages every Sunday that had two-for-one tickets to Sunday through Thursday shows, and sometimes the Friday late…

Happy Hanukkah! You can ask yourselves the questions that we ask in my family while we fry latkes and spin the dreidel. Is Hanukkah a real Jewish holiday or a pitiful answer to Christmas and/or Winter Solstice? Is it…

Go See Some Comedy: Greg Behrendt, Emily Heller, and More

It's the week of Thanksgiving. If you're a regular person, that means you're enjoying some time off work and cooking. Or protesting Black Friday. Hopefully, not trampling a Walmart employee to death. Holiday weeks are great weeks for comedy…

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
