The San Francisco Zoo's 13-year-old African lioness Sukari gave birth to a baby lion cub on Sunday.

The lion's father is twelve-year-old Jahari. Zoo staff are allowing Sukari and the cub to bond in private for the next three weeks, so the only photo available is a still from the zoo's "lion cam." Zoo staff will not know the cub's sex for several weeks.

The zoo's press release notes, "Zoo officials observed accelerated breeding behavior between Jahari and Sukari throughout the first part of 2015, culminating in Sukari's pregnancy in May." In case you were wondering how lion babies get made.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
