East Bay Commuters Won't Be Able to Transfer at 19th Street Station Today

Posted By on Mon, Aug 18, 2014 at 9:40 AM

Sorry, but track problems in downtown Oakland this morning forced BART to shutdown train transfers from the 19th Street station today.

According to Alicia Trost, spokeswoman for BART, the convenience of a timed transfer, where one train waits for passengers on another train before departing, will not be available today for those traveling through downtown Oakland.

You can try the MacArthur Station or have a gander at BART's website to figure out how to reroute your trip if need be.

Better luck tomorrow.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
