A 22-year-old man was attacked and beaten Saturday night after he went on a nighttime cruise on the San Francisco Bay.

The trouble started at about 12:50 a.m. when the boat returned to shore at Kelly and Townsend and a trio of passengers got into an argument, says Officer Gordon Shyy. The two suspects — an Asian woman and a black man — began arguing with a third man, which quickly escalated into a fistfight. After knocking the victim to the ground, the male and female continued kicking and hitting the man until he lost consciousness, police said. The attackers then fled the scene and have not been caught.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for a minor head injury. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact SFPD at (415) 575-4444.
