Lest you have any doubt about Silicon Valley's influence over future political campaigns, consider Hillary Clinton's itinerary as she graces the Bay Area's tech beltway for the second time this summer.

Clinton, who recently began a book promotion tour that could also be a 2016 campaign launch, will host special Q&A sessions at both Facebook and Twitter today.

According to Twitter's blog post about the event, the former Secretary of State will discuss her tenure in the White House, and how it informed her views on "human rights, domestic policy, and other topics.

Clinton, who began cultivating her social media persona by palling around with Katy Perry, lightly gibing at Fox News, and tweeting 140-character campaign jingles, has yet to say whether she'll make another presidential bid in two years. She's already stirred chatter among political watchdogs, who wonder if a renewed Clinton run might mean cabinet positions for University of California President Janet Napolitano, and former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, who now teaches at UC Berkeley. Clinton already leads in Democratic polls, and she's clearly courting tech constituents -- either for votes, or cachet. Twitter will stream her appearance live today at 5:20 p.m., from a tweet pinned at the top of her page. You can ask questions using hashtag #AskHillary. Facebook users can click here to follow Clinton's 2:30 p.m. appearance at the company's Menlo Park headquarters.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
