Now that the wealthy benefactor behind @HiddenCash has moved his social experiment to LA, a new spinoff has launched in San Francisco. And fittingly, it's got a crypto-currency twist.
Enthusiasts point out that it will be far easier for @SFHiddenBitcoin to monitor his loot than it was for @HiddenCash (who was later unmasked as controversial real estate mogul Jason Buzi.) All Bitcoin transactions are recorded on the blockchain ledger, so there's no need for lucky prize-seekers to photograph their plunder.As of now, this mysterious benefactor only has 123 followers -- meaning scant competition for prospective treasure hunter.
