Woman Crashes Lexus Into S.F. Chinese Restaurant at Lunchtime

Posted By on Wed, Jul 9, 2014 at 2:33 PM

An unidentified woman is in critical condition this afternoon after she reportedly crashed her blue Lexus into the front of a restaurant in Nob Hill during lunch hour. Sgt. Danielle Newman says that at about 12 p.m., an "older woman" was behind the wheel of the Lexus when it collided with the restaurant located on the 800 block of Bush Street. The Chron identified the restaurant as City Chopsticks. Nobody at the restaurant was hurt but the driver was badly injured.

Investigators are trying to piece together what happened.

"The rest of the investigation will be performed; however, any citation or arrest would come at a later time," Newman tells us.

It's the second time this week a car has crashed into a building. On Tuesday, a white Mazda plowed into a Ban of America building on Mission Street. And then on June 30, a driver in a Mercedes crashed into Cliff's Variety hardware store in the Castro District.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
