With all the crazy stories that have consumed the news cycle this week -- multiple murders, incredibly hot felons, and a pyromaniac drivers -- we decided to bring it down a notch just in time for the weekend.

So meet this adorable Golden Retriever named Murphy who was reunited with her family this past weekend -- two years after getting lost in the wilderness in Tahoe. According to news reports, the pup was with her parents -- Nathan and Erin Braun -- in October 2012 when she vanished into the woods. The couple posted flyers and even created a Facebook page dedicated to finding Murphy. But she was never found.

Until now.

CBS News reports that a camper recently spotted the dog about five miles away from where Murphy has gone missing two years ago. She looked frail and sad. Nathan and Erin got word of the sighting and drove out to the woods to look. After several days of combing the area for sweet Murphy, they lost hope again; the distraught couple left Murphy's old bed blanket and some pieces of their clothing with the campground host -- just in case.

A few days later, the campground host spotted a dog sleeping on the blanket. He knew it was Murphy. So he called the Brauns who were reunited with Murphy on Father's Day.

Murphy is reportedly recovering and enjoying a more luxurious life after roughing it, presumably wolfing down treats and napping on any couch she wants.

Now for a note from the Braun's (plus Murphy)

Our dearest Family and Friends,

After 20 long months of being in the Tahoe National Forest, Murphy has come home. As you can imagine we are completely shocked and amazed with the miracle of her surviving this long. We responded to a call from a couple who spotted a dog matching her description in an area within 5 miles of where we lost her. After multiple days looking for her without success, ...we left her bed and our clothing behind with the campground host, in the hopes that she would respond. A week went by and we got a call from the campground host who was able to coax her into a kennel after she had been sleeping every night on the blanket and clothing that was left behind. We were reunited with Murphy, on Sunday afternoon - Father's Day! She is on the road to recovery, very thin and frail but happy to be home with her family. We have so many people to thank the list is endless. Words can not describe how grateful we are. Homeward Bound was instrumental in their efforts to help, the campground host - Jason, Jacob (guy that made the call), Missy, Lea, Deann, Teresa, Mike, Mike, Mary, Jason, Lauren, Larry, Bubba, Wawa, Bob and Kim --- You all know who you are Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are forever grateful. -- Nathan and Erin

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
