Dominic Anderson Identified As Man Gunned Down in the Mission

Posted By on Mon, Jun 16, 2014 at 11:51 AM

The Medical Examiner has identified the man who was shot to death early Friday morning as 25-year-old Dominic Anderson.

Anderson, a San Francisco resident, was at 15th and Mission streets at about 9 a.m. on Friday when someone shot him multiple times. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he later died, says Officer Albie Esparza.

The shooter ran off in an unknown direction. No arrests have been made.

Police combed the scene, located in the heart of the city's Mission District, looking for witnesses or possibly surveillance that might have recorded the crime.

"Because it happened at 9 a.m. people are going to work so we're hoping we can obtain witnesses and information that would develop leads." Esparza told us after the shooting.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
