Admit it: you're really only bummed that the city is going to close Lombard Street to tourists this summer for one reason: Where else are you going to dump your out-of-town guests for a few hours while you take a much-needed break?
Consider taking them to the lesser-known Vermont Street as a possibility.

As you can see, not much about the twisted experience has changed, other than the type of cars traversing the world's crookedest (?) street.
