Cops Looking for Armed Carjacker in Richmond District

Police have been combing the Richmond District, looking for a gun-toting man who attempted to carjack someone early this morning.

According to Officer Gordon Shyy, the suspect walked up to the victim in the area of Clement and 12th Avenue at about 1:40 a.m., pointed a gun on the victim and demanded he hand over his car keys.

The victim refused and the suspected fired his gun into the air, then bolted the scene.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-7 Asian man with dark hair, dark clothing. He was last seen walking towards Park Presidio.
