Shots Fired in Lower Haight

Posted By on Wed, Jan 22, 2014 at 2:38 PM

San Francisco police are combing a crime scene in the city's Lower Haight neighborhood where several shots were fired earlier this afternoon.

Sgt. Danielle Newman tells us that several calls came in just before 2 p.m. from people saying they heard five to six gunshots near Haight and Buchanan streets. Police responded to the scene and found "evidence of gunfire" including bullet casings, but no suspect or victims, Newman says.

"There have been no injuries found or reported as of this email," Newman tells us via email. "We still have officers in the area."

We'll tell you more when we know more.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
