Man Gunned Down in SOMA This Morning

An unidentified man is clinging to life this morning after he was shot in the chest several hours ago.

Officer Gordon Shyy says police were called to the 500 block of Howard Street at about 1:50 a.m. on reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim with a gunshot wound to his chest.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police have no suspect description at this time.
