Later this week, take a few moments out of your busy holiday party schedule to remember these faces above and continue the search for those who are still missing in San Francisco.
On Thursday, families and loved ones will gather on the steps of City Hall for a candlelight vigil, to refocus efforts on finding these men, some who have been missing for several years.
Six of the seven pictured are still missing; 20-year-old Derrick Shao disappeared last month on his way to classes at City College. His body was found in the water at the San Leandro Marina on Nov. 15.
Sean Sidi has been missing since May 21, 2013. The 19-year-old Sidi vanished after visiting a former teacher in Hayes Valley. His parents say he is in a "medically fragile" state after suffering a brain injury last year.
Crishtian Hughes has been missing since February 7, 2013. The San Diego teen was visiting a friend in San Francisco when he disappeared. He had bought a plane ticket to return home on a flight, but never made it, and hasn't been seen or heard from since. His mother created a Facebook page dedicated to finding her son.
Paulo Netto has been missing since Oct. 28, 2013, when he made a frantic phone call to his sister in Brazil, claiming some people were after him. His sister called the police who went to Capp Street where he made his last call. He was never found. The Brazilian native had just moved to Los Angeles and traveled to San Francisco for the weekend to look at art schools.
Shawn Dickerson has been missing from San Francisco since December 2, 2011 when he left his home in the Mission District on that Friday about 11:30 a.m. He was on foot and no one has seen him since.
Jackson Miller, now 22, left his home in Cupertino on May 15, 2010. He parked his car at the Golden Gate Bridge parking lot. He left his belongings including his ID & wallet in the car. Bridge authorities reported that there were no jumps from the bridge that day. There have been several sightings of Jackson in San Francisco since then and the search for him is still active. Jackson suffers from a medical condition.
Cameron Remmer has been missing since Oct. 6, 2011. He was in San Francisco on a business trip and checked out of the Fairmont Hotel that day. He has not been seen or heard from since. He has not used his bank card or cell phone or email since October 6, 2011. Remmer suffers from a bipolar condition in which he may hallucinate, appear agitated, or withdrawn. Present day, he might appear disheveled and have longer hair and more facial hair, especially if he is living on the streets. He is in need of his medication.
