Medical authorities this morning identified the man who was shot to death outside of E.R. Taylor Elementary School yesterday afternoon as 35-year-old Kyle Hayes, a San Francisco resident.

At about 10:44 a.m., police were called to the intersection of Burrow and Holyoke streets after witnesses heard shots fired. When the cops arrived, they found Hayes with multiple gunshot wounds.

He died at the scene, according to police.

Students at the nearby elementary school were placed on lockdown after the shooting; meanwhile police combed the crime scene looking for evidence and witnesses.

No suspect information was available at this time.
