An unidentified man was shot and killed this morning in the Portola neighborhood, about a block away from an elementary school.

Officer Albie Esparza told us that the shooting happened at about 10:44 a.m. at Burrow and Holyoke streets near E.R. Taylor Elementary School. The man was shot multiple times and later died, Esparza said.

The elementary school was placed on lockdown, however all the kids and school staff are safe. According to the Chron, some of the kids might be missing recess today.

"[The schools] do that typically when there's a shooting," Esparza said.

Esparza had no suspect information at this time.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
