Authorities say it was 20-year-old Derrick Shao's body that was found in the water at the San Leandro Marina on Friday.

Shao, a San Francisco resident, was last seen on Nov. 7 at about 10 am. along the 900 block of Ingerson Avenue in the Bayview District; he was headed to catch the 29-Sunset Muni line to City College where he was a student.

But Shao never made it to his scheduled classes and his family never saw him or heard from him again.

On Friday at about 7 a.m., a body was found floating in the water off the San Leandro Marina, and the Alameda County Coroner confirmed today that it was Shao's body.

Authorities are still trying to determine the cause of death. Police say Shao had no history of disappearing.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
