A 22-year-old man is in critical condition after he was found stabbed with an unknown object outside his hotel room in the Tenderloin neighborhood.

Police say they were called to the 600 block of Polk Street at about 2 a.m. on Saturday. When they arrived, they located the victim, who had been stabbed in the back with an "edged weapon," according to Officer Gordon Shyy.

The man's friends told police that the victim had left his hotel room without informing anyone; his buddies later went looking for him, and that's when they found him stabbed. It did not appear he had been robbed, police said.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. No suspects have been identified at this time.

"At this point, investigators are still looking into the incident to determine who and how the victim was stabbed," Shyy told us.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
