An unidentified man died yesterday after he was tackled by a San Francisco DPT officer who witnessed the man assaulting a woman.

Officer Albie Eparza says the incident happened at about 12:35 p.m. near Eddy Street and Larch Way. The DPT officer saw the male, who was between 25 and 35 years old, attacking a 58-year-old woman. The DPT officer, presumably trying to break up the attack, tackled the man to the ground.

Both the man and the woman were taken to San Francisco General Hospital. The man died late last night.

The female victim is recovering from minor non life-threatening injuries.

Esparza said the death is considered suspicious until the Medical Examiner determines how the man died.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
