San Francisco police are looking for two robbers -- a man and a woman -- who forced their way into a Bayview residence in a violent home invasion robbery early this morning.

According to Sgt. Dennis Toomer, the incident happened shortly after midnight when a woman coerced the victim into opening the front gate of his home on Palou Street, between Newhall and Third streets. Once the gate was open, two male suspects rushed in and forced the victim back inside his house.

While inside, the resident and robbers got into a struggle, which ended when one of the robbers stabbed the victim. The man was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he was treated for a non life-threatening stab wound to his chest.

One of the robbers was attempting to leave the home when responding officers arrived. He ran back inside the house and jumped out of the first floor rear window, injuring his leg, police said. He was also taken to the hospital and treated for a leg injury. He was later arrested, police said.

The two other robbers are still on the lam. Police described the first suspect as a 5-foot-6 black woman wearing all black clothing. Her age is not known. The second was a 6-foot man, weighing about 200 pounds, and is between 45 and 55 years old.

If you witnessed this incident or know anything about it, pick up the phone and call the cops on the confidential line at (415) 515-4444. You can also text-a-tip to TIP 411, place SFPD in the header.
