S.F. Fog Video Makes Monday Not Seem So Bad After All

Posted By on Mon, Jul 8, 2013 at 2:19 PM

It's been a heavy week of news -- and thus reality -- for San Franciscans who have grappled with a five-day BART strike followed by a plane crash, and now a setback of the Bay Bridge opening.

So we decided it was only fair to insert something into the news cycle, something that's off the beaten path of tragedy. Just for a second -- or 288 seconds to be exact.

Here's a worthwhile time-elapsed video from local photographer Simon Christen of San Francisco fog, illustrating how cool (more like how foggy) this city is:

Adrift is a love letter to the fog of the San Francisco Bay Area. I chased it for over two years to capture the magical interaction between the soft mist, the ridges of the California coast and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.
Ahhhh, now back to the news.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
