Some hotels around the Bay Area showed their capitalistic spirit by reportedly increasing hotel rates up to five times the average in response to the Asiana plane crash on Saturday.

According to NBC Bay Area, those hotels were caught charging $1,200 for rooms that normally would cost $200 a night.

The San Francisco Travel Association took notice of this reported greed and decided to capitalize on the public relations nightmare, offering discount rates at five city hotels for those affected by the crash of Asiana flight 214.

Passengers whose flights were delayed or cancelled can book discounted rooms until Thursday at the Fairmont, Laurel Inn, Palace Hotel, the Radisson at Fisherman's Wharf, and the Warwick hotel. Rates range from $129 to $209. Guest may have to show proof that their flight was cancelled or a relationship to a passenger.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
