A 16-year-old kid is in critical condition today after he was shot outside the Powell Street BART station on a busy Friday night.

According to Officer Gordon Shyy, police were called to the corner of Cyril Magnin and Eddy streets just before 7 p.m. on reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found the teen suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, one to his chest and one to his arm.

He was rushed to San Francisco General Hospital where he's being treated for life-threatening injuries.

According to police, four other teens, three boys and one girl between the ages of 14 and 18, were assaulting the victim before one of the boys shot the victim. All the suspects ran off, leaving behind the injured teen.
