While your were snoozing away this morning, there was some excitement happening outside, and we're not referring to the much-needed rain.

Sometime after 2 a.m., an unknown person stole a cab -- and got away with it. According to NBC, the chase started in SOMA, where not one but eight cops trailed after the fleeing driver who took police on a "wild ride" through the streets of San Francisco, reaching speeds of over 100 mph.

The faux cabbie got onto Highway 280, where more cops joined in the fun. The driver ended up at the San Francisco State University campus, where he jumped out of the cab while it was still moving.

The taxi rolled into a metal pole, and the driver ran off on foot.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
