San Francisco Police are looking for a man who looks something like this guy to your right, saying he is responsible for recent assaults and an attempted rape of two women in the city's Mission District .

On Feb. 2 about 1 a.m., a woman was walking on Bartlett Street between 22nd and 23rd streets when the suspect, who was walking toward her coming from the opposite direction, punched her three times.

The woman covered her face with her hands, attempting to protect herself from the suspect. The man ran off and remains at large, police said.

At this point it doesn't appear that the man intended to rob or rape her, police said.

However, the cops believe the suspect could be the same man who attacked a woman last month as she walked along 23rd and Church streets just before 3 a.m. In that incident, the woman was also walking in the opposite direction as the suspect; when the two passed, the man lunged at her, throwing her to the ground.

He straddled the victim while slamming her heard into the ground, according to police.

The woman, screamed for help as she struggled to escape. Neighbors heard the woman and opened a window, shouting to the man to leave the victim alone. The man ran off, and remains at large.

In that incident, the suspect was described as a 25-year-old Asian or Hispanic male. He's about 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds, with a buzz haircut and a slight beard. He was wearing a dark-hooded shirt and dark pants.

Investigators believed the incidents could be connected because the suspect descriptions are similar, as is the mode of attack.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Inspector Rico Castillo at 734-3004. You can also leave an anonymous tip at 575-4444, or text a tip to TIP411 with SFPD typed in at the beginning of the message.

Be careful out there.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
