Sure, you refer to yourself as an animal lover, but are you enough of one to let a complete stranger tattoo whatever they want on your body if it means helping a dog or cat?

Think about it.

Two very brave SPCA employees, Laura Gretch and Daniel Quagliozzi, are going to let any moron with money design their next tattoo. Why? Because they LOVE cats and tats. The two have graciously donated real estate on their bodies, declaring that whoever donates the most money to help homeless cats and dogs will get to either design or pick out their next tattoo.

The auction closes on Friday at noon, so you still have time to hit the bank.

If this has inspired to ink up your own body, then head down to the SPCA for the Cats, Tats & Cocktails party on Friday night. It's just like it sounds: free booze, lots of cat chat, and tats. DannyBoy Smith from Let It Bleed Tattoo Parlor will be on hand to ink up your body for $40 all evening. Again, money that will go to save local cats and dogs.

Warning: The SPCA is not responsible for what you tattoo on your body after one too many glasses of wine.

The cocktail party kicks off another weekend of free adoptions for all animals at the San Francisco SPCA. San Francisco Animal Care and Control, Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, and Northern California Family Dog Rescue, will also be offering free adoptions all weekend from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a smooch-the-pooch kissing booth. Please send us photos if you go.

Auction winners will have to complete payment through PayPal by 3 p.m. on Friday. The SFSPCA will contact the winner to determine the tattoo content; however, Laura and Daniel will have to sign off on the design and will pick where the tattoo is located on their bodies. The SFSPCA is encouraging winners to select designs from below, or if they design their own, they're asking it be of similar size.

We'll be sure to follow up with a photo of the winning tattoos.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
