A 24-year-old man is clinging to life today after he was shot in the head early Sunday morning.

Officer Albie Esparza says the victim, who has not yet been identified, was at Silver Avenue and Mission Street at 3:33 a.m. when someone opened fire on him.

When police arrived, they located the victim and rushed him to San Francisco General Hospital, where he is in life-threatening condition.
