Flag Hair Lady Steals Obama's Spotlight

Posted By on Wed, Nov 7, 2012 at 12:13 AM

Nothing can provoke America's pathetically short attention span like a random lady with an American flag in her hair. Even though Obama was the winner in this presidential race, he wasn't exactly the star of his own show.

The Internet blew up with the hashtag #Hairflag as distracted viewers couldn't say enough about the anonymous yet now famous flag-haired woman sitting behind Obama; with every turn of her head, the cameras caught the flip of the flag that was prominently (annoyingly?) attached to her head.

Now she's now an Internet meme -- and probably doesn't even know it.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
