Tyrice Lane Identified as Man Murdered in the Bayview

Medical authorities have identified the man who was gunned down over the weekend as 20-year-old Tyrice Lane, a San Francisco resident.

On Friday about 10:26 p.m., police responded to a shot spotter

activation on the 1000 block of Mendell. When officers arrived, they

found Lane, who had been shot in the chest.

Officers performed CPR until paramedics arrived; however, Lane was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have made no

arrests, nor did they have any suspect description to release.

The shooting marks the city's 59th homicide this year.
