First rodents, now roaches. San Francisco's food producers can't seem to keep the pests away.
The San Francisco Health Department has reportedly closed down West Portal's Cafe for All Seasons after inspectors discovered a "severe infestation" of cockroaches squatting in the eatery.
According to the Chron, the roaches were just one of many health violations the cafe had, including improper food holding temperatures, improper food handling, inadequate
hand washing, and lack of food safety knowledge.
Mmmm. Doesn't that make you want to take the next bite of your sandwich?
"They're going to have to clean up the place and have pest control do massive extermination," Kenny Wong, principle health inspector, told the newspaper today.
