A man was critically injured after being shot in the Mission District, marking the fourth shooting in a weeklong streak of gun violence in the neighborhood.

Police issued very few details about yesterday's shooting, which occurred at shortly before noon when a 19-year-old man was gunned down on the corner of Mission and 24th streets. The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and is recovery, according to SFPD.

Police say the victim was walking when he saw the shooter, described as a man in his 20s, and started to run in the opposite direction. The man fired at the victim and ran away.

The suspect, who was with another Hispanic male, was seen running toward the 24th Street BART station. SFPD halted service while they did a search of the station.

"The shooting is gang related," Officer Albie Esparza told us.

On Monday, 45-year-old Dwayne Spruell was shot to death on the corner of Guerrero and Camp streets -- a well-known area for drug use. Media reports say the Spruell had just been released from prison on drug charges and was attending Narcotics Anonymous meetings when he was killed.

Last week, two men were shot in killed in the Mission District, including 29-year-old Edson Lacayo, an identified gang member, who was found shot to death on Hampshire Street. Earlier that day, Gaspar Puch-Tzek,

who was a local cook, was shot in the head while taking a smoke break

outside his place of work on 19th and San Carlos streets. He was

mistaken for a gang member, which police say he was not.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
