We thought we had already heard all the cheap, pathetic and well, yes, sleazy ways of making a few hundred bucks -- or pimping out lies to get media attention (Hi, Chicken John). But Botox mom might have hit an all-time low.

According to TMZ  (which, much to our chagrin, gets the facts right), Kerry Campbell, the notorious mother who made her fame by telling media outlets that she injected her eight-year-old daughter with Botox, now admits she is a big liar.

The news outlet reports that the mother, Sheena Upton, aka Kerry Campbell, aka Botox mom, was paid by the British tabloid, The Sun, to play the role of the crazy mom who gave her young daughter, Britney, Botox shots to prepare her for becoming a "superstar."

Britney went on television with her mother (is she even her real mother?) and described the painful process of getting these injections. Child Protective Services last week took Britney away from her mother while the San Francisco Human Services Agency investigated the story.

But then, reporters started asking real questions, like who the hell is Kerry Campell? The tale grew even more suspect when reporters couldn't track down Campell; news sources later reported that she was not who she said she was.

Now, Upton confesses that she was approached by the tabloid and paid $200 as well as instructions on how to tell the story. She was then promised another $10,000 to go on television and play the role of bad mommy. Although, The Sun denies scripting the story.

"The truth is I have never given my daughter Botox, nor allowed her to get

any type of waxing, nor is she a beauty-pageant contestant," Upton tells reporters.

Doctors confirmed -- after conducting a medical exam -- that the young Britney never received Botox.

Who knows if this story is even true. But whatever, San Francisco wants Upton to repay the city for the time police and city workers blew investigating this bizarre case. "It was a waste of taxpayers' money," Trent Rhorer, director of the San Francisco Human Services Agency tells SF Weekly. "She's fucking nuts."

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
