Police are on the hunt for two men who brazenly kidnapped a 22-year-old woman as she walked along a busy Mission District intersection on Sunday evening.

At about 5 p.m., the woman was near 18th and Lexington streets when a man with a knife reportedly grabbed her and forced her into a truck that another man was driving, police said.

The men drove her to the San Mateo County coast and attempted to rape her. She managed to get away from her attackers and call 911.

The suspects are described as Hispanic men

between 35 and 40 years old. They were driving a green Toyota Tundra truck. Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the

Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to text TIP411.

Two weeks ago, police arrested 18-year-old Xaxier Neal on suspicion of raping a female jogger. The woman was running in Crocker Amazon Park when a man grabbed her from behind and dragged her into a grassy area and he raped her.
