Schwarzenegger Creating 'Governator' Cartoon Chracter

Just when you thought you had seen every iteration of Arnold Schwarzenegger -- playboy, bodybuilder, Terminator, governor -- he comes up with one more: cartoon character

In his free-time as the state's former chief executive, Schwarzenegger is putting together a cartoon series with that loosely parallels his life as California governor.

Schwarzenegger will reportedly do the voice-over for an animated character named none else but the Governator.

The story will be about a superhero who, after leaving his job as governor, becomes a high-tech crime fighter with a base developed underneath his house in Brentwood.  Along with the "Arnold Cave", the character will have access to a fleet of super vehicles (EVs?) and snappy suits that will assist him in his crime-fighting, according to Entertainment Weekly.

But of course, this superhero is nothing without his wife and kids.

The "Governator" will feature Schwarzenegger's wife, Maria Shriver, and kids to round-out the story of this superhero who lives a double life as a family man.

Schwarzenegger, 63, told Entertainment Weekly, that he's been working with legendary Spider-man

creator, Stan Lee, to develop

the animated TV show and companion comic book.

"When I ran for governor back in 2003 and I started hearing people

talking about 'The Governator', I thought the word was so cool," he told

Entertainment Weekly. "The word Governator combined two worlds - the

world of politics and the movie world. And the cartoon brings everything


The TV show and comic book won't be out until next year.
