It's been a tough year at the Nor-Cal Herbal Relief Patient's Cooperative on Ocean Avenue.
First, the place at 1545 Ocean Ave. caught on fire on Sunday. Then, while firefighters were responding, they found an illegal pot growing operation in the upstairs bedroom of the building where the cooperative is located.
Lastly, the Department of Public Health suspended its operating permit for 30 days.

According to a statement from DPH's director Barbara Garcia, Nor-Cal can
reopen after 30 days if they correct their
violations. The dispensary's website doesn't mention its been suspended. Instead it announces that they are under new management and will be upgrading the quality of their pot.
The cooperative's number was not accepting calls Wednesday and an e-mail was not immediately returned. Yet Garcia sent out a February newsletter, which states: "The cooperative is hopeful that they will be able to correct all
